The City by the Bay, Part I

It was my birthday a couple of weeks ago, so for a special treat, my sister invited me up to spend the weekend with her in her adopted hometown of San Francisco.

Here's the view walking down one of the many humongous hills on the way to the Fort Mason Center for event number one...





Off the Grid is a gathering of food trucks at various locations throughout the city. Currently, there are 12 different locations weekly, with the Fort Mason location being the biggest event with over 30 food trucks.

It sure was crowded!

Lines were super long and we were hungry, so we decided that teamwork was the way to go! We each picked a line and ordered some goodies to share.

(We didn't actually eat at Fat Face-- I just really liked the picture of the piggy eating the popsicle! The picture below is dessert... Two different kinds of creme brûlée. Yummy!)

Then it was off to bed to rest up for the next day's adventures!
