This past Memorial Day weekend, I was in the neighborhood of Santa Rosa, California, and I decided to stop by the Charles M. Schulz Museum. Charles Schulz, or "Sparky," which was his nickname, was the creator of the "Peanuts" comic strip, which features the famous characters Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Woodstock, Lucy, Linus, and more!
I love visiting museums-- it's one of my favorite pasttimes. This was an especially fun museum because it really reminded me of reading comics. I used to love to get the comic section of the newspaper and read "Peanuts" every day! There are permanent exhibits and rotating exhibits that display Sparky's work.
At the museum, there is a labyrinth shaped like Snoopy's head made of out hedges that you can walk through.
On one giant wall, there's a mural of Lucy and Charlie Brown made completely out of "Peanuts" comic strips.
Next door to the museum is Snoopy's Home Ice, an ice arena built by Charles Schulz because of his love of hockey.
I have been told that the "Peanuts" character I am most like is Lucy (especially when I am feeling crabby). Who are you most like? Read about all of the characters and decide! Place a comment below to tell me who you are most like and why. Oh, you can read the comic strips as well on the Peanuts website.
Vocabulary:

noun: While visiting the pumpkin patch, I went into a labyrinth made out of tall corn stalks and it took me an hour to find my way out!
